Love God first in everything - God’s children loving God in worship and life

We believe that the first and greatest commandment is to love the Lord God - Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit - with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. Because we Love God first in everything, we will:

  • Worship Him.

  • Listen and speak to Him.

  • Serve Him.

  • Follow Him in obedience.

  • Make disciples.

  • Commit to holiness.

  • Love others.

True Community - followers of Jesus loving one another as Jesus loved us

We believe that life is to be lived in authentic community. Jesus lived in community. God exists in community. We were created for community. True Community is the church loving each other as Jesus loved us. Therefore, living in True Community means:

  • Connecting with each other.

  • Loving each other.

  • Serving each other.

  • Sacrificing for each other.

  • Forgiving each other.

  • Bearing each other’s burdens.

  • Praying for each other.

  • Teaching each other.

  • Learning together.

  • Enjoying each other.

  • Honoring each other.

  • Being patient, honest, kind, gentle, joyful, faithful, and hopeful.

Missional Discipleship - disciples reaching out and making disciples

We believe that Jesus was intentional about making disciples; therefore, we will be intentional in training and equipping followers of Christ to impact our families, community, and world. Jesus told His disciples to make disciples. In the Great Commission, He commands them to make disciples of all people and baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Therefore, as Jesus’ disciples, we are to live in such a way that people will see Him, be drawn to Him, want to get to know Him, and become disciples. We are to teach those who come to Him everything He taught and to baptize them. Missional discipleship incorporates living missionally, reaching out locally and beyond, and teaching the church to live holy lives as Jesus commanded.

Humble Service

We believe that Jesus was intentional about raising up servant leaders. Jesus came humbly and as a servant. He taught us that those who want to be great need to be servants of all. He also said that no servant is greater than his or her master. Therefore, as a church we are His body and His fellow servants. We will serve Him, each other, our neighbors and beyond as He showed us.

Faithful Prayer

We believe that people can communicate directly with the Living God. Jesus said that apart from Him we can do nothing. He modeled that He did nothing outside of what He saw His Father doing. The Bible tells us to pray on all occasions, to pray continually, to pray for one another and that the prayers of righteous people avail much. Because we value the importance of prayer, we choose to promote an environment in which prayer pervades everything we do.
